'I've been keeping myself warm and dry with the new British SoftShell jacket from  Scotland . I have worn the jacket mostly as an inner layer...in dry but excessively cold conditions.'

'The British Softshell is a simple Poylester fleece-lined, high neck, sip fronted jacket manufactured from AB-TEX, which is a waterproof, windproof and breathable fabric. AB-TEX uses a DWR(Durable Water Repellent) treated hydrophobic outer layer to repel water droplets, a laminated breathable membrane to keep water out but let sweat evaporate through it, and a wicking fleece inner layer for comfort and insulation. It is soft enough to be worn as a next to skin garment, but I prefer to wear mine with a tight-fitting UnderArmour T-shirt. '

'The Odin's single action front zip is waterproof, as are double action underarm mesh-backed pit ventilation zips, as well as the three pocket zips. The two main pockets are slightly angled and fleece-lined to act as hand warmers if necessary, and the chest pocket(ideal for mobile phone or GPS) is accessed through a concealed vertical zip next to the main zip.'
